Bedroom Luxury is Easy with a Shaggy Rug

Shaggy RugsIt is odd but many people leave the bedroom as the last room that they finish when decorating a home. This is partly because not many visitors see the bedroom, but also because usually by the time a person is in the bedroom they are not really thinking ‘decor’. Sitting in a living room or working in a kitchen the mind often wanders to the surroundings, but this is not so much the case in the bedroom.

Bedroom furniture is often more expensive than that for other rooms, partly because whilst no one really minds having a second hand settee, no one would normally consider a second hand bed. For this reason, money is often tight when it comes to bedroom finishing touches but a budget rug from Rug Zone doesn’t look at all cheap and in fact many of the rugs on offer can be considered very much luxury rugs although their cost is small.

Shaggy rugs are very much at home in the bedroom for many reasons. Firstly, there is little nicer than sinking your toes into a lovely thick pile when you get up in the morning. Cold laminate flooring or a scratchy cheap rug does nothing to make that wake up moment more acceptable, so it is nice to give yourself a treat if you can. Secondly, the bedroom is not a heavy traffic area, so a shaggy rug is easier to look after here. The pile won’t show tracking of people walking to and fro and also it is less likely to attract dirt and spills.

If your bedroom is big enough, it is very luxurious to have three shaggy rugs in there – one on either side of the bed and one at the bottom. As well as adding some real luxury, it gives the room a coordinated look by drawing the eye around the room. If you have an ensuite bathroom, it would also be a very decadent touch to have a shaggy rug in there too – check that the one you choose is suitable for bathroom use, but you can always buy different shaggy rugs and use colour as the link, so no one would know they were not exact matches. A bedroom with shaggy rugs is so inviting, who knows, you may find yourself spending more time in there!
